Vista Tiny Home Model

This is our latest and most ambitious build so far.  This build started as a concept and a search for the right type of access for the intended function. When a tiny home is about maximizing usable space, its difficult to beat putting another level on top of the home.

When planning this build some of the hard questions that had to be answered were:

How do we create structurally sound connections without compromising the waterproof Roof layer?

How do we install a safety rail as per standard code rules , without compromising on safety, or exceeding maximum road height, yet still be somewhat practical (Clue: It folds down and bolts together, and is quite safe to do!)

How do we make it look stylish and beautiful and still maintain complete structural capacity?

These types of questions are what get us out of bed in the morning and working long into the evening, and its well worth it to us.

You’ll be glad to know this deck design has been inspected, verified, stamped and signed by a structural engineer.

The inside finishes are also well worth a look. As we built this model for a Small home expo, we decided to showcase some alternative finishing styles in this model. If you like it, ask us about it, if you don’t, no worries, we wont bore you with the details! But check out a few photos below and we would love to know what you think either way, so please send us a message below
